 नई उम्मीदों का साल

कोविड-19 की काली छाया के बीच हम नूतन वर्ष (2021) में प्रवेश कर चुके हैं। आज नए साल की पहली तारीख है। हालांकि, व्यवहार में सब-कुछ बीते वर्ष जैसा ही है, लेकिन उम्मीदें नई हैं। यह उम्मीदें ही इस वर्ष को बीते वर्ष से अलग बनाएंगी। आज उत्तरांचल प्रेस क्लब की नई कार्यकारिणी ने भी कार्यभार ग्रहण किया। क्लब की पत्रिका "गुलदस्ता" का संपादक होने के नाते मुझे भी इस संक्षिप्त आयोजन में शामिल होने का न्यौता मिला था। सो, मैं नियत समय पर क्लब पहुंच गया। नई के साथ निवर्तमान कार्यकारिणी भी लगभग पूरी मौजूद थी। नई की ओर से पुरानी और पुरानी की ओर से नई कार्यकारिणी के सभी सदस्य एवं पदाधिकारियों को स्मृति चिह्न व यादगार के तौर पर पहाड़ के जैविक उत्पादों की किट भेंट की गई। फिर सभी ने सहभोज में हिस्सा लिया।

कोरोना काल के बावजूद उत्तरांचल प्रेस क्लब के 26-27 साल के इतिहास में निवर्तमान कार्यकारिणी का कार्यकाल सबसे शानदार रहा। ऐसा मेरा ही नहीं, लगभग सभी सदस्यों का मानना है। संसाधनों के घोर अभाव और तमाम चुनौतियों के बीच इस कार्यकारिणी द्वारा अर्जित उपलब्धियों की बराबरी करना नई कार्यकारिणी के लिए पहाड़ लांघने जैसा होगा। क्योंकि, ऐसा दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति के बल पर ही किया जा सकता है और दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति छोटे-छोटे स्वार्थों को दरकिनार करने पर ही आती है। सच कहूं तो मैं भी सालभर क्लब की गतिविधियों में इसीलिए सक्रिय रह पाया। उम्मीद करता हूं कि नई कार्यकारिणी भी स्थापित आदर्शों को कायम रखेगी।

बहरहाल! दोपहर ढाई बजे के आसपास क्लब से आफिस लौटना हुआ। अब मैं बिल्कुल निश्चिन्त हूं।क्लब के कार्यों को लेकर कोई तनाव नहीं है। पर, इसका मतलब यह कतई नहीं कि जिम्मेदारियों से पार पा लिया है। यह तो जीवन है, जिसमें जिम्मेदारियां भी साथ-साथ चलती हैं। हां! उन्हें निभाने के तौर-तरीके जरूर बदल जाते हैं। जैसे अब हरिद्वार कुंभ की रिपोर्टिंग के लिए जाना है। परंपरा के अनुसार हरिद्वार कुंभ वैसे तो मकर संक्रांति के पर्व स्नान से ही शुरू हो जाता है, लेकिन कोरोना के चलते इस बार सरकार ने इस बारे में कोई अधिकृत घोषणा नहीं की है।

सरकार 27 फरवरी को होने वाले माघी पूर्णिमा के स्नान से कुंभ की शुरुआत मान रही है। ऐसे में 14 जनवरी का मकर संक्रांति स्नान सामान्य ही रहने वाला है। फिर भी मेरी ड्यूटी तो 14 जनवरी से ही शुरू हो जाएगी। हालांकि, स्नान संपन्न होने के बाद वापस लौट जाना होगा। खैर! ये सब बाद की बातें हैं। फिलहाल तो इतना ही...।-

Year of new expectations

We have entered the new year (2021) amidst the specter of Kovid-19.  Today is the first date of the new year.  Although in practice everything is the same as in the past year, but expectations are new.  These expectations will make this year different from the previous year.  Today, the new executive of Uttaranchal Press Club also took charge.  As the editor of the club's magazine "Guldasta", I was also invited to attend this brief event.  So, I reached the club on time.  The outgoing executive was also almost completely present with the new.  On behalf of Nai, old and old members of the new executive were presented with kits of organic products of the mountain as souvenirs and memorabilia.  Then everyone participated in the banquet.

Despite the Corona period, the term of the outgoing executive was the most spectacular in the 26–27-year history of the Uttaranchal Press Club.  Not only me, almost all members believe this.  Amidst the acute scarcity of resources and all the challenges, it would be like leaping the mountain for the new executive to match the achievements made by this executive.  Because, it can be done only on the strength of strong will and strong will comes only by ignoring small interests.  To be honest, I was able to remain active in the club's activities throughout the year.  I hope that the new executive will also uphold the established ideals.

However!  Returning from the club to the office around 2:30 pm.  Now I am absolutely certain. There is no tension about the work of the club.  However, this does not mean overcoming responsibilities.  This is life, in which responsibilities also go hand in hand.  Yes!  The ways of fulfilling them definitely change.  Like now Haridwar Kumbh has to go for reporting.  According to tradition, Haridwar Kumbh starts from the festival of Makar Sankranti, but due to Corona, this time the government has not made any official announcement about it.

The government is assuming the beginning of Kumbh with the bathing of Maghi Purnima on 27 February.  In such a situation, the bathing of Makar Sankranti on January 14 is going to be normal.  Even then my duty will start from 14th January itself.  However, one must return after the bath is over.  Well!  These are all later things.  Right now this is so….
