चुनौतियों ने सुझाई भविष्य के लिए बेहतर करने की राह

वर्ष 2024 में मौसम की चुनौतियों ने कदम-कदम पर यात्रा की राह अवरुद्ध की, बावजूद इसके आस्था की मजबूत डोर ने तीर्थ यात्रियों के हौसलों को डिगने नहीं दिया और तमाम आशंकाओं के बावजूद रिकार्ड 46,17,445 तीर्थयात्री चारधाम दर्शन को पहुंचे। वैसे यह संख्या वर्ष 2023 की अपेक्षा 8,18,727 कम है, लेकिन इसकी तमाम वजह हैं। पहली तो यह कि वर्ष 2023 की अपेक्षा वर्ष 2024 में यात्रा अवधि काफी कम रही और इसका बड़ा कारण बनी 31 जुलाई को आई आपदा, जिसने 2013 की आपदा याद दिला दी। इस आपदा का असर इतना गहरा था कि 25 दिन तक तीर्थयात्री केदारनाथ धाम की राह पर कदम बढ़ाने का साहस तक नहीं जुटा पाए। आपदा में केदारनाथ पैदल मार्ग 13 स्थानों पर पूरी तरह ध्वस्त हो गया, जिसे दोबारा आवाजाही लायक बनाने में एक पखवाड़े से अधिक का समय लगा। वहीं, रुद्रप्रयाग-गौरीकुंड हाईवे का भी 150 मीटर हिस्सा सोनप्रयाग के पास मंदाकिनी नदी में समा गया। इस दौरान वर्षा, भूस्खलन व भूधंसाव के चलते बदरीनाथ हाईवे पर भी लगातार यात्रा बाधित होती रही और नाममात्र को ही तीर्थयात्री बदरीनाथ धाम पहुंचे। हालांकि, गंगोत्री व यमुनोत्री धाम की राह में वर्षाकाल के दौरान कोई बड़ी अड़चन नहीं आई, लेकिन केदारघाटी में आई आपदा का असर इन धामों पर भी साफ दिखा। इससे यात्रा का चक्र पूरी तरह गड़बड़ा गया और गंगोत्री-यमुनोत्री धामभी वर्ष 2023 की अपेक्षा काफी कम तीर्थयात्री पहुंचे। इसके अलावा धामों के कपाट देर से खुलने और जल्द बंद हो जाने का असर भी यात्रा पर दिखा। हालांकि, इन चुनौतियों ने भविष्य के लिए बेहतर करने की राह भी सुझाई है।
नई परंपराको मिला स्थायित्व

वर्ष 2023 में यह पहला मौका था, जब बदरीनाथ धामसे अधिक तीर्थयात्री केदारनाथ धाम पहुंचे। तब इसे संयोग माना जा रहा था, लेकिन वर्ष 2024 में भी जब केदारनाथ धाम में यही कहानी दोहराई गई तो यह मान्यता दृढ़ होती चली गई कि नई परंपरा को स्थायित्व मिलचुका है। दरअसल, केदारपुरी के नए रूप में संवरने और यात्री सुविधाओं के विकास के चलते वर्ष 2023 से वहां बदरीनाथ की अपेक्षा अधिक तीर्थयात्री पहुंच रहे हैं। वर्ष 2023 में जहां बदरीनाथ पहुंचने वाले तीर्थ यात्रियों की संख्या केदारनाथ से 1,26,296 कम थी, वहीं वर्ष 2024 में यह अंतर 2,16,735 पहुंच गया।
रोपवे से और आसान होगी राह

केदारनाथ धाम की राहआसान बनाने के लिए सोनप्रयाग से केदारपुरी को रोपवे से जोड़ा जा रहा है। पहले चरण में गौरीकुंड से केदारनाथ तक 9.7 किमी और दूसरे चरण में सोनप्रयाग से गौरीकुंड तक 3.3 किमी रोपवे बनाया जाना है। इसमें 22 टावर प्रस्तावित हैं। इस रोपवे के बनने पर गौरीकुंड से केदारनाथ की दूरी सिर्फ 30 मिनट में तय हो जाएगी। शुरुआत में इससे एक घंटे में 1,800 यात्री गौरीकुंड से केदारनाथ तक का सफर करेंगे।बाद में इसकी क्षमता को बढ़ाते हुए प्रति घंटा 3,500 यात्री किया जाएगा। रोपवे का निर्माण दो चरणों में किया जाना है।
केदारपुरी की तर्ज पर संवर रही बदरीशपुरी

केदारपुरी की तर्ज पर अब बदरीशपुरी का भी कायाकल्प हो रहा है। यहां बदरीनाथ महायोजना के तहत आस्था पथ का निर्माण हो चुका है। शेष नेत्र व बदरीश झील नए स्वरूप में निखर चुकी है। मंदिर जाने और लौटने के लिए भी अलग-अलग मार्ग बन चुके हैं। यानी बदरीशपुरी अब नए रूप-रंग में सजी-संवरी नजर आ रही है। उम्मीद है कि आने वाले वर्षों में बदरीनाथ यात्रा पर भी इसका असर दिखाई देगा।
गंगोत्री और यमुनोत्री धाम के लिए भी अच्छे संकेत

गंगोत्री धाम के लिएनगर पंचायत के पुराने पार्किंग स्थल में हेलीपैड का निर्माण हो रहा है। इसका 80 प्रतिशत कार्य हो भी चुका है, लेकिन इस बीच वनभूमि का अड़ंगा लगने के कारण कार्य रोक दिया गया।हालांकि, देर-सवेर इसका बनना तय है। सो, संभव है कि इसी यात्राकाल में इससे उड़ान भी शुरू हो जाए। इसी तरह यमुनोत्री धाम में गरुड़ गंगा के पास हेलीपैड तैयार कर लिया गया है। हालांकि, यहां हवा का प्रवाह तेज होनेके कारण अभी इससे उड़ान की अनुमति नहीं मिली, लेकिन आपात स्थिति में इसका उपयोग किया जा सकेगा और उम्मीद है कि इसी वर्ष यहां से नियमित उड़ान भी शुरू हो जाएंगी। वहीं, यमुनोत्री धाम के लिए यमुना के शीतकालीन प्रवास स्थल खरसाली (खुशीमठ) से रोप-वे परियोजना पर भी कार्य भी शुरू हो चुका है। लगभग 170 करोड़ की लागत से बन रही इस परियोजना की कुल लंबाई 3.9 किमी होगी, जबकि क्षमता प्रति घंटे एक तरफ 580 व्यक्तियों की ले जाने की होगी। रोप-वे को छह मीटर प्रति सेकेंड की गति से संचालित करने के लिए डिजायन किया गया है और इसके खरसाली स्थित टर्मिनल से यमुनोत्री धाम स्थित टर्मिनल तक की दूरी 15 मिनट में तय की जा सकेगी।

The form of the Char Dham Yatra changed after the 2013 disaster

The Char Dham Yatra of the Himalayas is creating new dimensions year after year. Leaving aside the two years of the Corona period, the pace that the Yatra had gained from the year 2016, three years after the disaster, continued to increase. After the Corona period, there was a possibility of the Yatra being slow in the year 2022, but this year the Yatra broke all previous records and crossed the figure of 44 lakhs. This made it seem that in the coming time the Yatra could come out in a new form and this is what happened. In the year 2023, the Yatra not only created new paradigms, but also changed the established tradition, according to which most pilgrims visit Badrinath Dham only. For the first time in the history of the Char Dham Yatra, this year more pilgrims reached Kedarnath Dham than Badrinath Dham. That too not a hundred or two hundred, but a full one lakh 26 thousand 296 more. This year the number of pilgrims reaching Chardham was 10 lakh more than the year 2022.
Challenges suggested a way to improve for the future

In the year 2024, weather challenges blocked the path of the journey at every step, despite this, the strong thread of faith did not let the spirits of the pilgrims waver and despite all the apprehensions, a record 46,17,445 pilgrims reached Chardham Darshan. Although this number is 8,18,727 less than the year 2023, but there are many reasons for this. First of all, the duration of the journey in the year 2024 was much less than in the year 2023 and the major reason for this was the disaster that came on 31 July, which reminded of the disaster of 2013. The impact of this disaster was so deep that for 25 days the pilgrims could not even muster the courage to step on the path of Kedarnath Dham. In the disaster, the Kedarnath walking path was completely destroyed at 13 places, which took more than a fortnight to make it suitable for movement again. At the same time, 150 meters of Rudraprayag-Gaurikund highway also got submerged in Mandakini river near Sonprayag. During this time, due to rain, landslides and land subsidence, the journey on Badrinath highway was also disrupted and only a nominal number of pilgrims reached Badrinath Dham. Although, there was no major obstacle on the way to Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham during the rainy season, but the effect of the disaster in Kedar Valley was clearly visible on these Dhams as well. Due to this, the cycle of the journey got completely disturbed and Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham also received much fewer pilgrims than in the year 2023. Apart from this, the effect of the doors of the Dhams opening late and closing early was also seen on the journey. However, these challenges have also suggested a way to do better for the future.
New tradition got stability

This was the first time in the year 2023, when more pilgrims reached Kedarnath Dham than Badrinath Dham. Then it was considered a coincidence, but when the same story was repeated in Kedarnath Dham in the year 2024, this belief became stronger that the new tradition has got stability. Actually, due to the new look of Kedarpuri and the development of passenger facilities, more pilgrims are reaching there than Badrinath since the year 2023. While in the year 2023 the number of pilgrims reaching Badrinath was 1,26,296 less than Kedarnath, in the year 2024 this difference reached 2,16,735.
The path will be easier with the ropeway

To make the path to Kedarnath Dham easier, Kedarpuri is being connected to Sonprayag by ropeway. In the first phase, a 9.7 km ropeway is to be built from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and in the second phase, a 3.3 km ropeway is to be built from Sonprayag to Gaurikund. 22 towers are proposed in this. After the construction of this ropeway, the distance from Gaurikund to Kedarnath will be covered in just 30 minutes. Initially, 1,800 passengers will travel from Gaurikund to Kedarnath in an hour. Later, its capacity will be increased to 3,500 passengers per hour. The ropeway is to be constructed in two phases.
Badrishpuri is being transformed on the lines of Kedarpuri

Badrispuri is being transformed on the lines of Kedarpuri. Aastha Path has been constructed here under Badrinath Master Plan. Shesh Netra and Badrish Lake have been transformed in a new form. Separate routes have been made to go to the temple and return. That is, Badrishpuri is now looking decorated in a new form. It is expected that its effect will be seen on Badrinath Yatra in the coming years.
Good signs for Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham too

A helipad is being constructed for Gangotri Dham in the old parking lot of Nagar Panchayat. 80 percent of the work has been completed, but in the meantime the work was stopped due to forest land hindrance. However, it is certain to be built sooner or later. So, it is possible that flights will also start from it during this pilgrimage season. Similarly, a helipad has been prepared near Garud Ganga in Yamunotri Dham. However, due to the strong wind flow here, permission to fly from it has not been granted yet, but it can be used in emergency situations and it is expected that regular flights will also start from here this year. At the same time, work has also started on the ropeway project from Kharsali (Khushimath), the winter residence of Yamuna, to Yamunotri Dham. The total length of this project being built at a cost of about Rs 170 crore will be 3.9 km, while the capacity will be to carry 580 persons per hour on one side. The ropeway has been designed to operate at a speed of six meters per second and the distance from its terminal at Kharsali to the terminal at Yamunotri Dham can be covered in 15 minutes.
