क्या आपने कभी सोचा कि दुनिया इक्कीसवीं में जहां खड़ी है, वहां तक पहुंची कैसे। हममें यह सब सोचने-विचारने की शक्ति कहां से आई। सृष्टि और ब्रह्मांड के बारे में हमने कैसे और कहां से ज्ञान अर्जित किया। इसका सीधा-सपाट जवाब है, अंक और अक्षर की बदौलत। लिपियों की बदौलत। सुविधा-संपन्न हो चुकी दुनिया में हम किसी भी भाषा की वर्णमाला को जरा भी अहमियत देना जरूरी नहीं समझते, जबकि यही वो बीज है, जो सृष्टि को व्यवस्थित ढंग से संचालित करने में सहायक बना। उदाहरण के लिए नज़र डालते हैं देवनागरी लिपि की वर्णमाला पर, जो अनेक भारतीय भाषाओं की मूल भी है।

सच भी यही है। ईश्वर, भगवान, गॉड, अल्लाह, ख़ुदा जैसे संबोधन भी अक्षर की उत्पत्ति के बाद ही अस्तित्व में आए। जरा दिमाग पर जोर डालकर सोचिए, अक्षर के बिना क्या हम कभी ईश्वर की कल्पना भी कर सकते थे। आखिर यह ईश्वर, यह भगवान जैसे शब्द कहां से आए। क्या भाषा की उत्पत्ति से पहले यह शब्द मौजूद थे। इसका जवाब कोई भी समझदार व्यक्ति 'हां' में नहीं देना चाहेगा। वेद, पुराण, उपनिषद आदि लिखने के लिए भी तो भाषा लिपि की ही जरूरत पड़ी होगी। स्पष्ट है कि पहले भाषा लिपि अस्तित्व में आई और फिर ये धार्मिक ग्रंथ। यानी ईश्वर ईश्वर, भगवान भगवान, गॉड गॉड, अल्लाह अल्लाह इसलिए कहलाए, क्योंकि मनुष्य ने उन्हें ये संबोधन दिए। वास्तविकता यही है कि भाषा लिपि ही सृष्टि के विकास का आधार है। अगर अक्षर की उत्पत्ति नहीं हुई होती तो आज ईश्वर-धर्म, ज्ञान-विज्ञान, साहित्य, कला आदि कुछ भी नहीं होते।

How and where did we acquire knowledge about creation and universe. The simple answer is thanks to numbers and letters. Thanks to the scripts. In a world that has become prosperous, we do not consider it necessary to give any importance to the alphabet of any language, whereas this is the seed which became helpful in running the universe in an orderly manner. For example, let's look at the alphabet of the Devanagari script, which is also the root of many Indian languages.

Man was not like he is today. After millions of years of struggle and many changes, it came into its present form. Earlier he used to move, eat, sleep and live like an animal. Gradually he started learning how to light a fire, eat roasted meat and tubers, live in a group, build a house, do farming, dance and mime for entertainment, etc. But, he still expressed his feelings through gestures and jumping, that is, he had no words. Time changed and with the development of intelligence, words started emerging from his tongue. These vowels eventually became letters and letters combined into words. This was a huge achievement for humanity. Words had proved the superiority of man in the living world. That is why 'Shabd' has been called 'Brahma'.
This is also the truth. Addresses like Ishwar, Bhagwan, God, Allah, Khuda also came into existence only after the origin of the alphabet. Just think hard, could we ever imagine God without letters? After all, where did the words like this God, this God come from? Did these words exist before the origin of language? No sensible person would want to answer this with 'yes'. To write Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads etc., language script would have been required. It is clear that first the language script came into existence and then these religious texts. That is, they were called Ishwar Ishwar, Bhagwan Bhagwan, God God, Allah Allah because humans gave them these addresses. The reality is that language and script are the basis of development of the universe. If letters had not originated then there would have been nothing like God, religion, knowledge, science, literature, art etc. today.

Scripts are the gift of humans only, they were not created by God or a deity. In ancient times, to keep any ancient and complex object mysterious, the seal of God or some deity was put on it. But, at present we know that the art of writing is not the gift of someone 'above', rather it is the intellectual creation of human beings.
