बीते पांच दिन कोई विशेष घटनाक्रम नहीं रहा। सिवाय स्वास्थ्य विभाग की एक सूचना के। 27 अप्रैल की इस सूचना के अनुसार मुझे कोविड वैक्सीन कोविशील्ड की पहली डोज लगाए 30 अप्रैल को 28 दिन पूरे हो रहे हैं। लिहाजा 30 अप्रैल को मैं नगर निगम में दूसरी डोज लगवा सकता हूं। पहले विचार तीन मई सोमवार को लगवाने का था, लेकिन फिर आफिस के ही साथी दिनेश खत्री के साथ राय बनी कि 30 अप्रैल को ही टीका लगवाया जाएगा। तय हुआ कि मैं पौने बारह बजे के आसपास आफिस पहुंच जाऊंगा। वहीं से दोनों खत्री की ही स्कूटी पर चलेंगे।

 सो, आज मैं तय समय पर आफिस पहुंचा और इसके बाद दोनों नगर निगम की ओर चल पडे़। सवा बारह बजे हम टीकाकरण केंद्र पर थे। भीड़ काफी थी, इसलिए केंद्र के बाहर लगाई गई कुर्सियों पर बैठ अपनी बारी का इंतजार करने लगे। हल्का-फुल्का नाश्ता मैंने किया हुआ था और दोपहर के खाने के लिए आफिस की कैंटीन में बोल दिया था। कल शाम ही खत्री ने बता दिया था कि रोटी वह ले आएगा और चावल कैंटीन में बनवा देंगे। इसलिए खाने को लेकर निष्फिक्री थी।

दोपहर पौने दो बजे के आसपास टीकाकरण केंद्र से एक कर्मचारी बाहर आया और बोला, 'अब एक घंटे लंच ब्रेक है। इसलिए आप सभी को तीन बजे के बाद टीका लगेगा।' अब एक घंटे इंतजार के सिवा हमारे पास कोई विकल्प नहीं था। मैंने भी ठान लिया था कि आज हर हाल में टीका लगाकर ही लौटना है। फिर चाहे दो घंटे और इंतजार क्यों न करना पडे़। ठीक सवा तीन बजे दोबारा टीकाकरण शुरू हुआ। आठवां नंबर खत्री और नवां नंबर मेरा था। टीका लगाने के बाद हम करीब पंद्रह मिनट वहीं बैठे रहे और फिर आफिस की राह पकडी़।

 आफिस पहुंचने के बाद हमने सीधे कैंटीन की राह पकडी़। खत्री रोटी-दाल लेकर आया था और कैंटीन में राजमा-चावल पका था। दोनों ने तसल्ली से भोजन किया और फिर काम पर जुट गए। पैरासिटामोल का पत्ता मैंने रूम में रखा हुआ है, इसलिए बुखार को लेकर बेफिक्र था। दरअसल, कुछ लोगों को टीका लगाने के बाद बुखार भी आ रहा है। खैर! साढे़ दस बजे मैं रूम में पहुंच गया। प्याज-टमाटर वाली तरीदार मैगी बनाई और पानी भरने के बाद पैरासिटामोल की एक गोली खाकर यू-ट्यूब पर अपने मनपसंद सीरियल देखने लगा।

इस बार हाथ में दर्द हो रहा है। हालांकि, इसकी वजह यह भी हो सकती है कि टीका दाहिने हाथ में लगा है। गोली असर दिखाएगी तो थोडी़ देर में ठीक हो जाएगा। वैसे भी अब सोना ही तो है। अच्छी बात यह है कि वैक्सीन की दोनों डोज लग चुकी हैं। कोरोना के विरुद्ध वैक्सीन ही सबसे कारगर हथियार है। इससे मानसिक मजबूती मिलती है और इसी की वर्तमान में सबसे बडी़ जरूरत है। ...तो साथियों! कोरोना से लड़ने के लिए वैक्सीन जरूर लें और आसपास के लोगों व मित्र-परिचितों को भी इसके लिए प्रेरित करें। शुभरात्रि!!!

There was no special development in the last five days.  Except for a notice from the Department of Health.  According to this information of 27 April, 28 days are being completed on 30 April by applying the first dose of Kovid Vaccine Kovishield.  Therefore, on April 30, I can get the second dose done in the municipal corporation.  The first idea was to get it done on Monday, May 3, but then it was decided with Dinesh Khatri, a colleague in the office, that the vaccine would be administered only on April 30.  It was decided that I would reach the office around quarter to twelve.  From there, both will walk on Khatri's scooty.

So, today I reached the office on time and after that both of them started towards Municipal Corporation.  We were at the vaccination center at 12.15.  The crowd was huge, so they waited for their turn by sitting on the chairs placed outside the centre.  I had had a light breakfast and had spoken in the office canteen for lunch.  Last evening, Khatri had told that he will bring roti and rice will be made in the canteen.  That's why there was a lack of concern about food.

Around 2.45 pm, an employee from the vaccination center came out and said, 'Now it's an hour's lunch break.  So all of you will get the vaccine after 3 o'clock.  Now we had no option but to wait for an hour.  I had also decided that today I have to return only after getting vaccinated.  Even if you have to wait two more hours.  Re-vaccination started at exactly 3.15 pm.  The eighth number was Khatri and the ninth number was mine.  After applying the vaccine, we sat there for about fifteen minutes and then made our way to the office.

After reaching the office, we took the straight path to the canteen.  Khatri had brought roti and dal and Rajma-rice was cooked in the canteen.  Both of them had their food peacefully and then got to work.  I have kept paracetamol leaf in the room, so I was worried about the fever.  Actually, some people are also getting fever after getting vaccinated.  Well!  I reached the room at ten thirty.  Made onion-tomato spicy Maggi and after filling water, after consuming a tablet of paracetamol, he started watching his favorite serial on YouTube.

This time my hand is hurting.  However, it may also be because the vaccine is placed in the right hand.  If the pill shows its effect, it will be fine in a while.  Anyway, it's gold now.  The good thing is that both doses of the vaccine have been taken.  Vaccine is the most effective weapon against corona.  This gives mental strength and this is the biggest need at present.  ...so comrades!  To fight against Corona, definitely take the vaccine and inspire the people around you and your friends and acquaintances to do the same.  good night!!!
